Two Grooms-One Amazing Love Story

2018-10-29_0103

“I choose You”.  Those are the words Austin & Philip shared on their wedding day.  It was their first Song, their commitment, their story.

Austin & Philip are two, amazing individuals but, together?  Let’s just say they seriously complete one another.  They have that certain something which makes you feel relaxed, and oh so comfortable, and as if you have known them for years.  When we first met to discuss their wedding, they brought along a group of friends and welcomed all questions and comments.  Right then I knew how deeply these two care about people.  They wanted to share in their excitement, and included those close to them.

How can two people be so lucky?

2018-10-29_0067The couple started their day with a large brunch hosted by their Aunt.  Amid well wishes and the day’s excitement, both grooms prepared for the day.  Austin remain at his Aunts, while Philip departed to the Hollander Hotel in downtown St. Petersburg to get ready.  Both grooms looked fabulous in their blue suits with purple accents.  Gorgeous succulents served as their boutonniere’s and took center stage in all their floral arrangements.

The couple met for an emotional first look, then exchanged personal letters to one another prior to their ceremony.  They opted to read them together, in a touching pre-ceremony commitment.

Austin & Philip’s celebration was held at the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg, Florida.  A historic train station transformed into a gorgeous venue with exposed brick walls, and period details.  The ceremony was even more special, as Austin’s Uncle officiated their marriage.  They exchanged vows with a traditional hand fasting, where silk cords were draped over their hands and pulled taught.  This is where the term “tying the knot” comes from.  There was not a dry eye in the house.

Their reception was a Mid Summer’s Night Dream.  Guests danced to the live sound of the Bay Kings Band upon a floor transformed into a deep, blue lake.  Trees constructed of vines and floral’s surrounded the dance floor, taking guests into a land of enchantment.

We made sure to sneak out for a few pictures at sunset, and the sky did not disappoint. Philip has a vintage VW Bug convertible they wanted included in the portraits, and we even threw in some confetti–well, just because it’s confetti!  I can honestly say, I have not had this much fun at a wedding in a long time.  I am honored to have been chosen to share in your Wedding Day.

Congratulations Austin & Philip.  Wishing you many, many years of happiness.

Please enjoy just a small sampling of Austin & Philips wedding day.
