Everyone dreams of finding the fairy tale.
The happily ever after made famous in movies and Disney shows. A life of sunshine, rainbows and wishing on a star. The Hallmark movie moments of a love so sweet and romantic, it seems impossible to believe.
For Jeff and Whitney it isn’t a dream or an illusion, it is their every day real life.
Jeff and Whitney have been together for years and actually have the sweetest little boy Owen who is just over a year old. Yes, some may say they are doing things out of order, but for them it is just right.
Jeff is tall where Whitney is petite, and they have this connection that is tangible. From the slow, sly smiles that pass between them, to their need for constant contact, theirs is the love we all dream of.
Jeff had this plan to propose to Whitney on Mother’s Day. Let me tell you he hit it out of the park with his selection of an engagement ring. Isn’t it wonderful when the guy actually pays attention to what you like?
I first met this awesome couple a few years ago when they wanted couples portraits and their maternity session. We hit it off right from the start and have stayed in contact over the years. When Jeff proposed Whitney contacted me right away and even chose their wedding date around my availability. Isn’t that just awesome? I am so touched and honored that they chose me to document all the special moments in their life.
Whitney rode horses in her youth and really wanted to have their engagement pictures taken at an outdoor location with horses. Having just the perfect spot in mind, I began the process of contacting Covington Farm in Dade City to schedule the session. I love it when things just come together, and I was able to surprise Whitney with this dream location.
Whitney and I had a vision for the shoot and I ordered in this gorgeous gown from Sheer Girl. It photographed just amazingly folks and doesn’t she look ah-mazing in it?
Covington Farm is this beautiful venue in Dade City complete with amazing barn, fields of wild flowers and tall grasses, antique truck, peaceful lake and stately moss lined oaks. They even have an old fashioned tree swing. How cool is that?
Every corner we turned brought us a new look and the staff were so incredible to work with. Since it was a blazing 96 degree day, Lisa drove us around the property on their golf cart. Talk about service?
Whitey also brought a burgundy gown her mother had worn in her youth to the session. No matter what she put on Whitney just radiated beauty and grace.
I hope you enjoy just a snippet of the dreamy images we captured out at Covington Farms.
